Why landscape in the fall?

As the weather cools, some homeowners may be tempted to snuggle under a blanket and wait until spring to plan and install landscaping. But fall installation has many advantages:

1.  Purchasing a plan now will help give you a head start in the spring or install sprinklers this fall. Having a landscape plan prior to sprinkler installation will ensure a design that gets it right the first time.

 2. Fall is an excellent time to plant trees and many shrubs. The weather is cool and days are short. These conditions lets plant and trees acclimate to the site without the stress of hot weather. Just be sure to mulch around newly planted material before winter sets in.

3. Fall prices on trees and shrubs can’t be beat! Many nurseries are clearing out existing inventory and reduce prices by 50% or more! This helps your landscaping dollar go farther. Trees can be safely planted through late October.
