Consider landscape design as a first step in creating a beautiful outdoor living space. If design work is done before sprinklers, flat work and grading, it will streamline the process and allow landscape contractors and owners to be on the same page, saving time and money. Phasing and budget can also be addressed once there is a plan.
My goal as a landscape designer is to take many factors into account to create a beautiful, livable yard with reasonable maintenance. I take into account hardscape needs, as well as areas needed for gardening, play and gathering. A plan helps you do things right the first time.
