This year marks 10 years in business--work I enjoy as much today as when I started in 2012. I love meeting with clients, brainstorming about their vision of outdoor living spaces. Together, we create landscapes that flow and abound with color and texture. I look forward to doing the same for you!

Welcome to Saratoga Blooms Landscape Design. I look forward to another season of helping clients make their landscape dreams a reality. By addressing the flow and function of your space, as well as color, texture, hardscape, and desired maintenance, we can work together to create a space you will enjoy for years to come. From Dirt to Divine: Final Before and After Photos

 The yard is in! My end-of-season design project is complete and I thought I would post some before and after photos. We will plant shrubs and perennials next spring but completed grading, sprinklers, water features, a patio, garden area, trees and mulch. In design, it's just as important to focus on flow and functionality as it is the color, texture, and bloom period of plant materials. In this yard, I grouped entertaining/gathering areas together and production areas in a separate area. I also focused on grading. As the yard is large (a half-acre) and flat, we needed to berm and curve beds to add visual interest and better showcase plantings. A shout-out to Salt Lake Sprinkler and Landscape who did an AMAZING install job!

The Evolution of a Yard--From Dirt to Divine: Week 3

 Everything really took shape during Week 3. As a landscape designer witnessing my vision become a reality, every day was like Christmas morning, watching progress being made. The backyard water feature was now humming along, the sprinklers were complete and the new RV pad was poured. The front yard bubbling water feature was built this week and the trees were planted. A beautiful paver patio by the stream also adds an additional gathering space. Bark gives the yard a finished look until spring. I wish we could have gotten all of the plants planted this year, but it was just too late in the season. The sod and fence will be installed in the next couple weeks. I will update more then.

The Evolution of a Yard--From Dirt to Divine: Week 2

 Like most construction projects, this yard went through an ugly phase before things start coming together. Grading comes first and the bermed beds were formed on the corner of their lot, around the large water feature, and around the foundation of the home. Once the beds are defined, The sprinkler work can begin. Gutter drains are also placed at this time. They also made good progress on the design and build of a large 30-foot recirculating stream bed that sits just off of the backyard patio. Great for ambiance!
