March is one of my favorite times of year to be in my yard--perennials are emerging from winter's slumber and buds are swelling on trees and shrubs--giving reassurance that color and flowers are just around the corner.
With our warm February, things may be a few weeks ahead of schedule, so now is a good time to prune fruit trees and cut back rose bushes. Also, clean up perennials and divide them if necessary. I've noticed weeds are making an early appearance, too. Keeping them in check now will make them easier to control throughout the growing season.
March is also a great time for landscape design--having a plan will ensure your yard will be functional and beautiful right from the start. Click on my SERVICES page to find out more.
